My Biggest Advice For Business Owners

entrepreneurs Sep 12, 2020

I work with a lot of entrepreneurs and see this mistake happening often. You spend so much time working IN your business doing client work that you forget to take time to work ON your business. And there's a huge difference.

Working IN your business is doing all that client work - providing the services you offer. Working ON your business is doing content creation, marketing, sending emails to subscribers, updating your own systems and processes, the financial stuff, etc. Basically, anything that helps to grow or make your business run more smoothly. If you don't take care of that backend business stuff, you'll likely start feeling very overwhelmed and stressed out.

What I advise and do myself is to take one entire day (or however much you can realistically do) each week to put towards only working ON your business. No client work or calls. Just you focusing on getting those things done for YOUR business that has been on the to-do list for far too long. Once you do this, I promise you will feel so much better and your business will be in a much better place.
